Salary: starting at $98,0000 depending on experience + annual discretionary bonus

Location: 100% on-site at our beautiful Ladera Ranch, CA headquarters.

Revenue Manager Job Summary

The Revenue Manager is a key role in the SmartStop operations team and will have a direct impact on performance of the organization. Reporting to the COO, this high visibility role will work across departments to manage pricing activity in concert with sales campaigns, new market development, seasonal activity and mature property evolution. In this role, you will optimize the company’s revenue by analyzing data, setting pricing strategies, and forecasting to maximize profitability.

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities

  • Establishes pricing guidelines and price points for markets across the portfolio using sophisticated models and proprietary tools.
  • Collaborates with internal departments to identify areas of opportunities for new or incremental revenue growth.
  • Compiles and analyzes trends to determine where variances are occurring and provide analysis to management.
  • Performs pricing and promotional testing to drive additional lead and rental volume at the site level.
  • Develops ongoing perspective of market dynamics and formulates different strategies to best compete with a changing environment.
  • Reports on performance by creating and maintaining reports to track revenue performance against goals and forecast future revenue.
  • Summarizes information, data, and recommendations and prepares presentation materials.
  • Creates and develops ad-hoc reports regarding particular markets or overall organizational performance.
  • Identifies inefficiencies and areas of improvement, drafts responses and addresses/executes changes.
  • Coordinates with external consultants and vendors to deliver special projects or support ongoing engagements.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications Needed

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, economics, statistics, or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in an analytical, revenue related position.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong ability to think strategically.
  • Expert in Microsoft Office Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Working ability in SQL and operating platforms.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as an effective team member.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and ability to prioritize effectively.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
